Privacy Policy

Last updated: Placeholder — not yet legally reviewed · Draft placeholder

This is a draft placeholder, not a final legal document. A qualified privacy professional and legal counsel must review this policy, and the system it describes, before any production use. See Privacy & Security for a plain-language summary.

What we collect

  • Account information you provide (email, name, role).
  • Camera information you choose to register (approximate location, direction, field of view).
  • Case and request information investigators create, bound to a documented purpose.
  • Footage you or your organization chooses to upload in response to an approved request.
  • Access and audit logs of actions taken on the platform.

How we use it

Data is used only for the stated purpose it was collected for: enabling case-specific footage requests, AI-assisted search within an authorized case, and platform security/abuse prevention. We do not sell data, use it for advertising, or share it for commercial profiling.

Your rights

  • Request an export of your own account data.
  • Request deletion of your account or camera registration.
  • Withdraw consent for a specific footage request going forward.
  • View your own access and audit history.

Some data — particularly evidence tied to an active case and audit logs — may be subject to retention obligations that limit immediate deletion. This will be explained to you before you submit a request.

Facial recognition

Facial identity recognition is not enabled in this release. Face detection is used only to drive automatic blurring of bystanders.

Data residency

Data residency is configurable and has not yet been fixed for any production deployment. Any Canadian law-enforcement deployment requires a jurisdiction-specific legal review before residency commitments are made.
